Fisherman finds guns, ammunition dumped in Yangon lake

Police in Yangon have opened an investigation after a fisherman stumbled on two guns and ammunition dumped in a small lake on Saturday afternoon.

The weapons were found in the body of water inside Myaing Haiwaun Park off Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, according to a Facebook post by Myanmar’s police force.

The fisherman, Kyaw Min Hein, reportedly got his rod snagged on a plastic bag containing a revolver, a pistol and 56 bullets.
