EXCLUSIVE PIC: fire damage at Kind Villa Bintang Resort in Nusa Dua

Limited coverage of yesterday’s fire that smoked out Kind Villa Bintang Resort in Nusa Dua has got the island wondering what’s going on.

When approached by Coconuts Bali, Kind Villa Bintang Resort refused to comment, but we were able to snap a quick phone pic of a charred resort building before being dismissed by security.

The building has come crumbling down after yesterday’s fire. Taken today at Kind Villa Bintang Resort in Nusa Dua.

What we know so far is that Tribun Bali reported yesterday afternoon that a total of eight firefighting units were employed to control the flames that allegedly started in the resort’s kitchen. We also know based on that report that three buildings burned down: the kitchen area and two villas.

However, how exactly the fire started, the extent of the damage and costs incurred from the fire, and most importantly were there any casualties or injuries, remains to be answered.

As any other major current Bali topic, the fire has generated some buzz on the Bali Expats Facebook page, but only minimal new information has been offered other than condolences for the incident:
