This epic rescue of puppies stuck inside a Yangon tree will warm your heart

Now, we all love puppies. But would you dive headfirst inside a musty old tree to rescue them?

These guys would.

Two local men yesterday staged a spectacular rescue of a mother dog and her two puppies, who were found stuck inside a Banyan tree in Yangon’s wealthy Golden Valley area by representatives from the Yangon Animal Shelter.

The family are now living at their refuge for strays. The mother has been named ‘Shwe Shwe’, literally translated as ‘gold gold’.

A post on the group’s Facebook page chronicled the drama.

Here’s the first puppy getting pulled out of the tree. Easy as.

But the second seems to be buried right in there. This requires some effort.

Nearly there…

Yes! Hello puppy #2. Look how happy he is.

The family safely ensconced, en route to the shelter.

These puppies have had a rough day.

Look how ridiculously tiny they are.

Happy families.

Riding off into the sunset. Thanks lads.
