Flying to Yangon from the Gulf is about to get even easier.
There’s already direct flights to Doha through Qatar Airlines and now Emirates will launch a daily route from Dubai to Yangon and Hanoi from August 3.
The airline announced the new route , which will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, in a media release published yesterday.
“Since the opening up of tourism in the country, Myanmar has continued to witness an increase in foreign tourist arrivals, in particular attracting those interested in eco-tourism or the country’s many historical temples,” the firm said.
“With its religious and ancient sites, natural trails and picturesque beaches, Yangon welcomed 1.1 million tourists in 2014, an increase of 25 percent compared to the previous year.”
The flight will leave Dubai at 2:50am, arriving in Yangon at 11:05am and then Hanoi at 2:50pm.
The departing flight will go from Yangon to Dubai at 1:50am.
