Police were called to the Aung Mingalar Bus Station earlier this morning after bus employees alerted them of a dead passenger on their vehicle.

The bus in question had travelled from Taunggyi to Yangon. An employee told Mizzima that when they pulled up to the Aung Mingalar Bus Station and all the passengers alighted, employees noticed that one passenger was still onboard. Assuming he was just a heavy sleeper, several people tried to wake him up only to eventually realize he was actually dead.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Sein Tun, a resident of Taunggyi. Authorities have placed time of death at approximately 6:50am this morning.

Initial examinations showed no external injuries on the body, which has been transferred to the morgue at the May Dawi General Hospital. Police were still trying to track down next of kin as of this afternoon.
