Customs officials on Myanmar border with Thailand destroy thousands of cases of Leo beer

The man working the bulldozer must have either had a lot of fun or experienced a lot of grief.

Why?

Because he was destroying thousands of cases of Leo beer.

The beer, confiscated by customs official in Tatchilek, which borders Thailand, was crushed to smithereens on Saturday in an official ceremony that was presided over by something called the “committee to destroy the beer,” according to the Global New Light of Myanmar.

No reason was given for the mass destruction of the Thai beer.

Perhaps it was imported illegally? Perhaps it was bootleg Leo beer? Not the good stuff?

It will remain a mystery for the ages.
