A taxi driver is being celebrated for returning a bag of diamonds and emeralds that a passenger left in his car in Yangon.

It must have been quite the bag. The estimated amount of the jewels was $90,000.

Than Htike Kyaw, the driver, took his passenger, Cho Cho Htay, from Shwedagon Pagoda to a house in Myaynigone Township on September 24, the Voice reported.

Cho Cho Htay left the bag in the car and the driver found it when cleaning out his cab later, returning the next day to the house to give it back (the owners had also posted information about the loss and the cab on Facebook, which he may have seen).

While he was likely terrified of stumbling on such a large possession of treasure – the story did not explain why someone was carrying around that kind of bling – Than Htike Kyaw was celebrated for returning it.

“He is very honest. We honored him by some cash, but he didn’t accept,” a family member told the paper.

Myanmar Facebook users congratulated the driver for returning the goods, according to the Voice.
