An editor at local weekly journal The Iron Rose was found dead on Sunday, reports Eleven.

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Wai Yan Heinn. His body was discovered inside the publication’s office, located on the first floor of a building in Pazundaung.

Neighbors had contacted the publication’s chief editors, who also happened to be Wai Yan Heinn’s parents, after a rotten odor had begun emitting from the office on Sunday morning. The couple found their son’s body bleeding from a knife wound, and draped across a chair.

Police are currently trying to determine a time of death, as well as investigating a motive for the crime.
