Three men suspected of carrying out an armed robbery in a village on the banks of the Pan Hlaing River on the outskirts of Yangon on Saturday have been arrested.
Police detained the men on boat a boat on the river. They told the Global New Light of Myanmar that the vessel was stocked with swords, slingshots and a lead pipe.
The authorities suspect the group of being behind the weekend’s violent robbery in Apyinpadon village, which sits on the river bank.
