Rooftop acoustic night at Sakura Tower (Friday)

Well, this is somewhat unusual. Massive Dutch DJ and producer Afrojack (who has worked with Nicki Minaj and David Guetta and once dated Paris Hilton) is headlining what seems to be a fairly major EDM festival on Saturday.  Not in Kansas anymore, Toto! Get tickets from Frolick (People’s Park, Taw Win Center, Junction Square), Balance Fitness and The Clubhouse. Regular price, K45,000, ‘VIP’ is K80,000.

Shwe Htut Tin, 4pm until midnight.

The Yangon Gallery at People’s Park, 2pm until 5pm.

A social walk for people who love taking photos. Yes, that means you, too, on your cellphone. The group will set off from the unusual Maha Wizaya pagoda and head through Shwedagon, to Bahan market, through a monastery and end up at a local restaurant. It’s part of the ‘Worldwide Photo Walk’, so sign up online here.

Maha Wizaya Pagoda, 8am until 10am
