If you live in Yangon and are a fan of EDM music — which we realize is about 90% of Yangonites — then you were probably at the 808 Festival this past weekend with your friends, raving to the likes of Hardwell and Dillon Francis.
Unfortunately for one festival attendee, he was raving at 808 alright, just not with his friends. Instead, the kid was with his mom.
Yep, in a video that’s been uploaded online, the teenager views the festival stage from towards the back of the field with his mother by his side.
The mom gives her son some water to drink since we all know how important it is to stay hydrated when one is going wild at a festival.
When the beat drops, the kid starts jumping up and down and waving his hands — again, typical EDM festival behavior — while his unimpressed mom casually surveys the scene before her with folded arms.
Even with the crazy loud music, you can practically hear her thinking, Have kids, they said. It will be rewarding, they said.
