Marionette shows may be an integral part of Myanmar’s cultural landscape, but for Yangon residents, there are few places to see the art in action.

Now, starting from July, the Htwe Oo Myanmar marionette troupe is opening up a theater on Sule Pagoda Road downtown, the Irrawaddy reported.

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children and shows are scheduled to run two times a day, at 6pm and at 8pm, according to the Irrawaddy. Though officially opening their act next month, the puppeteers will currently perform for crowds of at least five people.
