Filipina beauty queen Kylie Verzosa was in Yangon this week to crown Myanmar’s next representative to the Tokyo-based Miss International beauty pageant.
The 24-year-old kindergarten teacher and model beat out runners up from Australia and Indonesia in the 2016 Miss International pageant last October, launching her into a year of modeling and charity work.
But in addition to appearing on the covers of magazines, meeting world leaders, and working as a mental health awareness advocate, she has also been tasked with selecting the women who will vie to succeed her in this year’s pageant.
Verzosa met Miss International Myanmar candidates on Monday and crowned Aungban-based chef and restauranteur Sao Yoon Waddy Oo as Miss Myanmar International on Tuesday evening.
She also got the chance to tour Yangon and pose in front of its shiniest landmark. The photos look pretty good.
