A Facebook user has received an outpouring of support as he embarks on a creepy quest to find the girl he stalked at the Shwedagon Pagoda on Saturday.

The lovesick stalker professed his love for the young woman in a Facebook post, which also included a photo he took of her without her knowledge. The post now has over 1,600 reactions and nearly 500 shares.

The creepy man writes:

Most commenters seemed to find the post unobjectionable. Many gave the stalker advice on how to better carry out his unilateral romance.

“Check fb check-in on Shwedagon location place,” one commenter recommended.

One commenter believed he knew who the girl was and tagged a Facebook profile in his comment that turned out not to belong to the girl from Shwedagon.

Another commenter posted a screenshot of an Instagram photo she thought contained the Shwedagon girl, but that, too, turned out to be fake news.

A few commenters were incensed by the behavior of the covert casanova.

One writes: “Bruh to be honest, your move was creepy as hell. You either should’ve went up to talk to her or left her alone. You followed her around like a stalker and I don’t know about her, but if it was me, I would be creeped tf out. Just next time don’t take secret pictures or stalk girls. Still, best of luck dude.”

Another chimed in: “Mate just gonna tell you straight up: that was a fucking creep move. I don’t know why you’d post this sad, twisted attention seeking post. If I were her brother or close friend I’d have kicked your head in without thinking. This ain’t cute, adorable, Romeo-like or all warm and such. It’s…sad. And creepy af.”

One comment, ostensibly by a woman Facebook user, had perhaps the most productive response: “I too have been in multiple situations as you are and believe me regret is not enough of a word to describe how I felt for not have talked to that person because im practically a shy person. But honestly I think you can learn a lesson to grasp the opportunity we are being given while its still in our sight. May the luck be with you brother.”

Or maybe that honor should go to the commenter who just wrote: “Creep.”
