Myanmar is developing at a faster pace than ever. But don’t just take it from us, after all, even Nicholas Cage wants to hang out in Yangon. Along with movies, digital marketing is gaining traction as more and more companies set their sights on Myanmar audiences. And now with the merger of Echo and RevoTech, we’re starting to see the results of that growth.

The merger is a first in Myanmar’s agency community. One of the country’s leading PR agencies, Echo Myanmar, has joined forces with digital agency RevoTech to become ERA Myanmar (ERA) — good news for those seeking an insightful and deep understanding of Myanmar consumers.

The new era of integrated communications agency will join together more than 70 experts across digital, creative and strategic communications fields, making it the largest agency in the country. It will combine RevoTech’s expertise in digital technology with Echo’s expertise in public relations and strategic communications to address the evolving ways in which Myanmar audiences engage with the media.

ERA Myanmar understands its operational landscape and the approach to marketing communications, as explained by its spearheading chief and Managing Director Anthony Larmon, “Traditional media is still important here, but we can’t ignore the rise of digital technology and changing media preferences. ERA is our answer to a yet-unanswered question in Myanmar: how should agencies adapt in the future to best serve clients and continue creating relevant campaigns that build lasting relationships with clients’ stakeholders?”

The merger also brings together industry accolades including a global SABRE award, the first and only one awarded in Myanmar, along with Southeast Asia PR Agency of the Year (2018), and New Consultancy of the Year (2017) awards given by PublicAffairsAsia — and these honors came within only 8 years of its establishment.
