Debate about corruption in Myanmar
Is Myanmar’s Home Ministry transparent? That’s the theme for Saturday’s live debate hosted by the Democratic Voice of Burma. An especially timely topic given that the ministry will remain under army control under the new parliament.

&PROUD film festival and FAB night with singer Eaint Chit

The &PROUD Yangon LGBT Film Festival kicked off yesterday and will run through the weekend. The line up features work from around the region as well as a live cabaret show on Sunday. Check out the programme for more details. Also Myanmar celeb Eaint Chit (pictured) performs on Saturday night as part of the massive monthly LGBT party that is FAB. It’s especially big this week because of the fest.
