Yangon Door2Door delivery service expands to Naypyitaw and Mandalay

Yangon’s go-to delivery service, Door2Door, is aiming to be Naypyitaw and Mandalay’s go-to delivery service as it expands beyond the commercial capital this month.

The news, reported in Deal Street Asia, comes four years after Yangon Door2Door was launched in 2012 by an Egyptian ex-pat who noticed a dearth in delivery options.

So much has changed since then, with restaurants popping up weekly, creating more demand for delivery amid an influx of tourists, businesses and ex-pats.

This latest move is an interesting development, especially in Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-biggest city after Yangon.

But in Naypyitaw, which has few restaurants in the first place, the delivery guy may get a little bored.

That’s okay. Everybody gets a little bored Naypyitaw.
