The Singapore-based cafe chain Ya Kun Coffee & Toast has opened its latest location in Yangon at the recently opened Myanmar Plaza.
Management tells us they are making the place chillax-friendly (without using those words, of course), with daily versions of Myanmar and English language newspapers, and places to charge computers and phones.
“This is an ideal setting for friends, families or business associates to spend quality time together and unwind,” they said in statement.
We’re told the wi-fi is being installed and should be up and running by the end of the month.
They also sent over this schedule of promotions for cheap snacks for the next couple of weeks.

Ya Kun first came to Myanmar in 2013 at around the same time that other foreign chains were just starting to break into the market.
Editor’s note: This post has been updated to reflect new information about the always important wi-fi connection at Ya Kun.
