Thank God, It’s Free: Burma Bistro celebrates T.G.I.F. in style with free cocktails

Burma Bistro, on the corner of Merchant and Shwe Bon Thar, has a gift for all of you this coming Friday and for all foreseeable Fridays as well (while supplies last).

Starting this week, from 5 to 7 PM, Burma Bistro is serving up free welcome cocktails as long as you show up with a slight hankering for some Burmese fare and just a pinch of adventure – these cocktails are all new creations.

Burma Bistro has been whipping up your favorites in Myanmar’s eclectic cuisine from classics like tea leaf salad and khauk swe toke (flour noodle salad) to the more decadent shrimp kebab and pumpkin salmon all in a tastefully renovated interior with high ceilings, exposed brick walls and colonial columns. While all dishes are local staples, their experienced chefs add delicate Western and Asian flourishes that keep them fresh.

This must be why Burma Bistro received  “New Comer Restaurant of the Year” from lifestyle and city guide site Myanmore.

Be careful, we might be the first ones through the door and there won’t be any left for you. So don’t sleep on the wheel and get yourself that free cocktail.
