In the latest bite-size update from Yangon’s ever-changing restaurant scene, Fortuna, the Mexican-Spanish-Italian eatery at Junction Square Mall, has closed its doors.
The restaurant served up dishes of all three cuisines, but had built up a fan base on the strength of its chocolate-dipped churros.
In a melancholy announcement posted to its Facebook page, the owners said they were looking for a business partner and hoped to re-open somewhere soon.
“It has been a real pleasure to be of service to all of you…. With our thanks for your Acceptance. Loyalty and Love that you showed us,” they wrote.
Farewell, Fortuna, and thanks for all the churros.
