If you’re a big cat lover but can’t have your own furry little feline for whatever reason, you might want to head over to Freedom Café in Sanchaung, which has launched the country’s first cat café, or as they’re calling it, “Catpuchino Café”.

Although Freedom Café itself has been around for a while now, the Catpuchino Café was just launched this Wednesday.

According to their Facebook, visitors will be able to choose between one of three two-hour time periods to visit the café. The first session is from 1pm to 3pm, the second session is 4pm to 6pm, and the third session is 7pm to 9pm.

There is an “entrance fee” of MMK5,000 per person, although if you visit before the end of the month, you’ll also be treated to a free glass of sparkling Italian wine.

Judging by the photos, there will be cats of all (or at least, a wide range of) ages, colors, sizes, and breeds present. There even seems to be a hairless cat for those who are allergic to fur!

And, of course, in keeping with the cat aesthetic, the whole place is filled with cat toys and cat-themed accessories. After all, there’s nothing better than drinking a cat-themed latte while sitting on a cat-themed pillow and playing with a cat-themed cat (also known as just a cat, some might say).

In order to prevent overcrowding and so that the kitties won’t be too overwhelmed, the café has a limit of 18 visitors for each session.

And you know those spots are going to go fast, so hurry and reserve one by phoning the café at 09967767263 or 09794776191.
