Look, we get it. Ice cream is great, and we love it and all. But, er, to get all riled up about the frozen treat, especially one from McDonald’s of all places, is a bit much.
Last night, one video made viral fame showcasing a furious male customer raging against a surprisingly calm McDonald’s employee — all because of some ice cream fiasco and a cashier who apparently offended him. Basically, the gist of his rage-fueled confrontation revolved around money, as the irate customer kicked up a big fuss before criticizing the service and demanding to talk to the “restaurant manager”.
“You mean I got no money to pay [for] the ice cream?” the agitated middle-aged man shouted.
It’s unclear what kicked off the incident, which is believed to have occurred at the Hougang Mall McDonald’s outlet, but perhaps the dude was already wrecked because he never got to taste the gooey goodness of the fast-food chain’s short-lived chocolate pie, which is apparently now sold out islandwide and (probably) never coming back.
Meanwhile, netizens everywhere banded together to condemn the man for going overboard just because of $1 ice cream from McDonald’s. Some thought he probably needed the chilled dessert to cool down, while others said the bully’s “customer is always king” attitude reeked of arrogance.
