Head over to your nearest McDonald’s for gooey molten chocolate pies from March 1

Anyone feeling serious chocolate cravings? McDonald’s must’ve heard your prayers because it’s here to answer ’em. The fast food chain just announced on its Facebook page the addition of three new menu items come Mar. 1 — and normally we’d be meh, because McD’s is always taunting our attempt to eat healthy with its limited edition junk food… but this one’s different.

Enter the molten lava chocolate pie, fried fish and fries, and the sweet chilli fish burger. Okay, the latter two are still meh, but who needs coconut or red bean or even apple pies when you can sink your teeth into the gooey goodness that is the chocolate pie?!

Previously only offered to the loyal patrons of McD’s in South Korea, Japan, and Thailand, the Rich Chocolate Pie swamped social media last year with enticing photos of its crispy exterior and molten core.

It’s so good it deserves a standing ovation, apparently.

But while most people are psyched about the chocolate pie finally coming to our shores, several who already tried it in Korea were… less than enthused.

Still, if you love chocolate, we’re guessing nothing can dampen your eagerness to give it a try. And always remember not to believe the hype — people seem to forget the taste of disappointment when McDonald’s salted egg yolk burgers and cheesy loaded fries arrived.
