The northeast monsoon surge strikes havoc once again in Singapore. After a scary bout of toppling trees across the island yesterday, mother earth brought another kind of fury earlier today. Winds of fury.
If you were anywhere in the vicinity of East Coast Park’s National Sailing Centre this afternoon, we feel bad for you (and hope you came out of it all unscathed). Though it may have just been a typical heavy downpour in the city, intense, howling winds battered the park — strong enough to send boats flying. Words can’t do it justice though, just watch what took place at around 3.50pm today.
