The mean streets of Gotham can get pretty bleak sometimes, what with the rampant organized crime, corrupt lawmen, a two-faced district attorney and deranged individuals that keep escaping from the city’s psychiatric hospital.
So perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising that Gothamite vigilante Batman would choose to roam the quieter corridors of an HDB block in Singapore during his downtime.
In all seriousness though, the long Halloween is still far away so there’s not much reason why anyone would be dressing up as the Dark Knight, complete with the cape and cowl. The captured CCTV footage was uploaded on Facebook by Max Ng, who captioned his post with a suggestion that the masked man might be a loanshark runner. The exact location is unknown, but the surreal scene took place on Monday night, just before 11pm, according to the timestamp.
That theory might be true, judging from how the caped crusader appeared to be walking up and down the corridor while glancing at a particular unit.
If it does turn out that Batman has resorted to helping loansharks harass houses for some extra dole, the only person worthy enough to counter him is a cop in Joker attire. What a twist!
