Only in Yishun will you find a car driving in the middle of the road, gunning straight for the Electronic Parking System (EPS) at a car park.
Apparently, one vehicle was caught on camera smashing without hesitation into the EPS at Yishun Ring Road on Tuesday around 8am. Surely that was too early for the driver to be drink driving.
According to Stomp, one eyewitness said police were at the scene, and the driver explained his actions by claiming that he was “sleepy”. Perhaps his mind was still in dream land and failed to realize he was making a beeline for the parking gantry right in front of him.
Photos from the eyewitness showed damage on the vehicle’s front bumper, as well as a destroyed EPS, Stomp noted. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
