Yet another sinkhole was spotted, this time along Punggol Road just in front of Edgefield Secondary School on Tuesday (Feb 28).

The hole in question – measuring 30 to 40cm wide – was cordoned off and later repaired and reopened to traffic on Wednesday at 4am.

A Punggol resident witnessed the scene and uploaded photos showcasing the hole with several people gathering around it on Tuesday evening.

This is the second time in a month that a sinkhole has been discovered in Singapore. Previously, on Feb 17, a metre-wide one was reported along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5. PUB was alerted to the incident – as it was near its reinstated water pipe – and sent a contractor over for assessment and repair.
