The teen caught doing an obscene act in a viral clip from surveillance footage that has scarred the internet has been arrested.

The Singapore Police Force said they have arrested the unidentified male teen after a video showed him humping a cat from behind along the corridors of a Senja Road flat on Saturday.

Days later, they said they received a police report and investigations are currently ongoing.

The video was posted by the grey cat’s owner who wanted to seek justice for his feline after he said the act left it traumatized.

“What do you feel when some sick bastards does this to your cat? […] I’m putting it out here and in hopes that this goes viral, so relevant parties can take actions against this guy,” Ismul Azim wrote.

The cat was seen loitering around the corridor before being grabbed by the teen who tried to hump the cat from behind several times even after it struggled to escape.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) told The Straits Times that the incident was “deeply distressing” and that they have reached out to the owner for support.

SPCA executive director Aarthi Sankar urged the public to treat “all animals as sentient beings.”

If found guilty of animal cruelty, he could be fined up to S$15,000 and 18 months in jail.
