Cold hard cash at the back of a train station? Real or not, TikTok users are intrigued.

Luke Goh, who goes by the name of Seathebreezee on TikTok, claimed that he had hidden a wad of cash worth S$1,000 (US$750) near Pasir Ris MRT station and separately at a spot near the bus interchange in Tampines since Saturday. His videos have raked in a million views in total, even sending some individuals in a searching frenzy, while others remained skeptical of the stunt.

“I hid $1,000 at the back of [an] mrt station in Singapore. I’m coming back in 3 days to see if someone finds it,” he wrote in a video posted Saturday. He has not responded to Coconuts queries requesting for comment since yesterday.

The Saturday clip showed a stack of S$50-notes being placed in the bushes outside the train station. In an update yesterday, Goh shared a video of him returning to find a S$2-note in its place.

On Monday, Goh pulled the stunt near the bus interchange in Tampines in response to a viewer’s request that he leave cash in another area. Ever since the videos went up, photos posted online have shown individuals poking around with their flashlights in Tampines.

Others were quick to call him a sham.

“I know he put it there, paused the video and took the money back,” user Strike Legends Gamin wrote.

“Are you sure?? I’m in the area and I’m not finding it anywhere. But thanks anyway…,” Ebicgamar wrote in reply to Goh’s comment insisting he did “leave it there.”
