Unlike political figures in other countries that don’t take too kindly to associating themselves with Islam, Britain’s Prince Harry is more than happy to join an iftar — the breaking of fast for Muslims during Ramadan — right here in Singapore.

Queen Elizabeth II’s 32-year-old grandson is due to drop by our shores for the first time ever on June 3 to participate in annual fundraising event, the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup. Kensington Palace announced that the Prince will be breaking fast with young Singaporeans during his visit, as well as attending an Action for Aids reception at Eden Hall.

The Muslim holy month begins in the evening of May 26 on Friday and will end on June 24, while Hari Raya Puasa (or Eid al-Fitr) will fall on the next day, of course. But we’re pretty sure most of you are just excited that the annual Geylang Serai Bazaar (featuring over 1,000 stalls involving Instagrammable F&B) is returning soon.
