Carousell, the digital landscape littered with low-ballers, unreasonable users and straight-up weirdos among the ones that are legitimately great to deal with.
Proving that all online platforms can’t escape from pervs who want to hook up (we’re looking at you, LinkedIn) a Carousell user had to deal with a persistently salacious seller — even when the item involved something as unromantic as a gas stove. On Facebook, Rohaishah Hamid recounted how she trolled a seller who was more interested in closing the deal with her rather than closing the sale.
What started as a chat about a brand new gas stove turned into something creepy, with the seller complimenting Rohaishah about her looks and asking her to send a photo of her face.
When she tried to fend off his advances, he remained undeterred. Even when she tried to troll the 44-year-old man about needing the stove to fulfill her culinary dreams in Masterchef Singapore, he doubled down on his lechery, ignoring her jokes about needing the stove because her family was dying of hunger.
Tired of his nonsense, Rohaishah sent some photos to him. Not the ones that he’d like though, considering that it’s a picture of a half-naked dude.
