It’s a small world after all. A man who wanted to purchase a used PlayStation 4 game on Carousell realized he didn’t even need to go on the online marketplace platform to get it — the seller he was discussing the purchase with turned out to be a squadmate in National Service.

Twitter user @Syakirzizi posted screenshots of the exchange between his friend and the friend’s fellow Singapore Police Force national serviceman as they slowly realized that they actually knew each other pretty well. The buyer shot a message asking if a Fifa ’18 game is still available for purchase, and the seller only replied back the next evening, saying that he just booked out of camp. Coincidentally, the buyer just did, too — prompting the seller to ask if he was in the Singapore Police Force as well.

The buyer admitted that he is — and even in the same intake as the seller. He also revealed that a bunkmate made him purchase a PlayStation 4 console recently, and the seller latched on to things. He called the buyer by his name and even gave him a $5 discount for being a squadmate.

The buyer laughed at the realization that he was actually dealing with a friend, a pretty amusing providence considering the volume of Carousell sellers putting up their Fifa ’18 video games for sale. The last screenshot of their exchange had the seller asking when his friend wants to grab the game.
