Local news parody series The Noose will return for a seventh season on April Fool’s Day.
The popular TV show’s latest installment will feature an addition to the cast — theatre actress Siti Khalijah — who will play a Malay girl with an American accent in one of her roles.
Actress-director Michelle Chong will also return from her hiatus to relive the iconic Barbarella and her other characters including Chinese KTV hostess Lulu, Filipino domestic helper Leticia Bongnino and news anchor Adriana Wow.
The show’s other staple characters like field reporter Jacques Ooi and Thai correspondent Pornsak Sukhumvit (Chua En Lai) and Jojo Joget (Suhaimi Yusof) will also be on hand to tickle your funny bone, playing up the stereotypes experienced in contemporary Singapore society.
Season seven of The Noose will air April 1 at 8.30pm on Channel 5.
