Get ready for more shopping and dining in yet another shiny new mall when Northpoint City opens in the fourth quarter of 2017. Part mall, part residence, the buildings are being hailed as the largest integrated development and largest mall in the north of Singapore. Just to give you an idea of how huge it’s gonna be — the 1.33 million sq ft space will house more than 400 retail and dining outlets in themed shopping zones, while also hosting the 920-unit North Park Residences.

Besides that, other facilities include community spaces, an aircon bus interchange, an underground retail area that links to Yishun MRT station, a rooftop garden, a public library, and a town plaza that’s apparently the size of 10 basketball courts.

But not everything will open at the same time. The Yishun Public Library and the Nee Soon Central Community Club will move into the mall by 2018, and the residential buildings will be ready for occupation by the fourth quarter of next year.

As for what’ll happen to the current Northpoint Shopping Centre, rest assured your nostalgic memories at the mall will be kept safe as it’ll be integrated into the development and renamed as Northpoint City’s North Wing.

Perhaps the neighborhood of Yishun won’t be so… intimidating to live in, after all.
