Yeah, yeah, the whole thing about Yishun being Siao Lang town is kind of an overplayed bit already. But then again, we’d watch this cheesy B-grade flick if it were real.
YouTube channel Juo Productions shot a fake trailer that imagines the notorious district of Yishun as a proper horror story — a place you can never move out of once you’re in. A black hole of sorts where giant caterpillars exist, cat killers roam and sinkholes emerge. They could have inserted more references to loony incidents that’ve happened in Yishun, but perhaps reality is crazier than fiction.
Yishun residents, however, are (understandably) fed-up with their genuinely lovely neighborhood being a constant punching bag and the subject of memes. This fake trailer triggered them greatly, and they made it abundantly clear that they don’t find the jokes funny anymore:
