Among the list of things Singaporeans love, one of them’s gotta be coming up tops on “Best of” lists, surveys, and any type of positive global rankings. So here’s yet another list to pique your interest: Singapore’s top 10 favorite brands of 2017.

Unsurprisingly (thanks to non-stop marketing antics over the past few months), Milo took top spot. Everyone’s favorite malt chocolate drink — made even more famous thanks to local singer and Sing! China contestant Nathan Hartono’s love for it — narrowly beat national carrier Singapore Airlines, which came in second, followed by Visa in third place.

The only other local brand to make it on the list of local and international names was Golden Village at fifth place, after 7-Eleven. Interestingly enough, ride-hailing platform Grab rode into the top 10 for the first time, landing in the seventh spot.

Other brands on the list include Watson’s at sixth place, and MasterCard at eighth spot, followed by Samsung and Nippon.

The survey was conducted by third-party consumer research agency BDRC Asia for marketing and promotional organization Superbrands, reported Marketing Interactive.

About 1,500 people aged 18 to 54 were polled in September for the survey, which pinpointed more than 500 of Singapore consumers’ favorite brands across 107 consumer product and service categories, and ranked them according to the number of consumers that identified the brand as their favorite.
