Bottled Milo Peng coincidentally launched after new ambassador Nathan Hartono “dared” them to do it

A truly Singaporean romance blossomed late last year between two unlikely parties — singer-songwriter Nathan Hartono and chocolate malt beverage brand Milo. What started as a jokey promise to treat all Singaporeans to iced Milo should he win singing contest Sing! China turned into reality when the brand actually rolled out its beloved vans and served free cups of chocolatey goodness for all (even though Hartono didn’t take first place).

That cute little romance was played up pretty generously when Hartono issued a “challenge” to Milo — one that was totally and obviously not a marketing stunt. The singer promised to dress up as a Milo mascot if the brand produced bottled Milo pengs for the masses.

Milo gamely played along (LOL) and accepted the challenge as if it was a spontaneous decision and totally not a planned thing. Oh look, here’s a sponsored post too!~

It was totally coincidental then, when Milo announced today that Hartono has been signed on as its ambassador. A bottled version of Milo peng (now with more “gao”! And chocolatey taste!) has since been released and is now available in stores for $1.20 each. (Btw, this post was a freebie and was done out of our love for marketing stunts.)
