On Monday, a 77-year old lady was found dead in her wheelchair in her flat. Circumstances of her death remains unclear, but when a neighbour was alerted by the elderly lady’s maid, he discovered a knife stuck in her throat, with blood scattering on her clothes and floor.
Gruesome.
Initially, it was reported that 37-year old maid was assisting the police with investigations into the unnatural death. Well, as of yesterday night, she’s officially arrested and will be charged with murder later today.
Neighbours said that the deceased – whose name is believed to be Tay Quee Lang – had lived with her husband and their Indonesian maid, who only started working in the house a month back.
For now, we’ll just wait to see what unfolds in the hearing. If the maid is found guilty of murder, she’ll face the death penalty.
