Hop on board the NEL train to Little India and check out the intricate Deepavali decorations

This year, the Land Transport Authority celebrates the Festival of Lights with its first Deepavali-themed train, which was launched on Saturday (Oct 15) by Minister for Transport, Khaw Boon Wan. A collaboration with the Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association, the train features intricately-designed elements like Indian jewelleries, lotus flowers and peacocks (a symbol of good luck).

It will run on the North East Line till mid-November, so for those of you NEL regulars, keep your eyes peeled for this beautifully adorned train. Otherwise, hit up the NEL and Downtown Line platforms at Little India station for more festive decorations, and alight to feast your eyes on the glittering lights along Race Course Road.
