More people have been arrested in connection with Sunday’s violent Chinatown corridor clash that was likely sparked by a dispute over a woman, police told reporters last night. Two other suspects remain at large.
Eight men and a woman, believed to be members of a gang, were arrested between then and Tuesday after the beatdown took place in the People’s Park Complex on Upper Cross Street, according to reports. They were all between 18 and 28.
One of them is also being investigated for allegedly harboring two of the male suspects.
Citing preliminary findings, the police said that a dispute between two rival gang members over a woman may have led to the fight.
