First half of May will be super icky with both thundery showers and scorching weather

The worst days are when the weather is both wet AND warm, and the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) is telling us that we’ll have to bear with erratic fluctuations in temperature in the first half of May. Ugh.

May is the second warmest month of the year after April, based on long-term statistics, and temperatures can really get scorching at up to 35°C on some days.

However, short-duration thundery showers are still to be expected — mostly in the late morning and afternoon on six or seven days. “Overall, the rainfall for the first half of May 2017 is forecast to be slightly above normal,” MSS stated.

Meaning we’re up for some really icky weather in the next couple of days — sudden downpours and searing temperatures mean that it’s gonna be really, really humid. Thanks for being equatorial, Singapore.
