An elderly man succumbed to his injuries and died on Saturday (Aug 19), a few days after he was involved in a collision with an electric bicycle rider outside McDonald’s at Jalan Bukit Merah.

The police are now appealing for information on the fatal hit-and-run accident that occured on Aug 17 at 6:34am. The crash resulted in the 78-year-old pedestrian suffering severe head injuries, but the e-bike rider left the scene before the cops arrived. The Singapore Police Force have since released a picture of the alleged cyclist, requesting for any information pertaining to the accident:

Netizens believe that the suspect is a food deliveryman, judging from the bulky, squarish bag he’s seen carrying in the picture. One asserts that he’s a McDelivery rider.

Anyone convicted for the offence of hit-and-run can receive the maximum fine of $3,000 and/or up to a year in prison.
