Last Friday, a 31-year-old foreign domestic helper was arrested for tossing out an entire array of items from a second-storey HDB flat. The police confirmed that they were notified of the case of rash act at Block 623 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 around 2:30pm on Friday, and investigations are ongoing.

Thankfully, no one was injured, Channel NewsAsia noted.

The Straits Times reported that the woman is an Indonesian maid, though nothing was said about what provoked her to, as one netizen joked, do some early “spring cleaning”.

Her seemingly indifferent attitude to the commotion she was causing and her continued quest to toss out items from the flat attracted the attention of a group of people playing Pokémon Go at the block. So naturally, a video of her antics subsequently emerged online, showing the woman hurling things out the flat window into a pile of random items at the foot of the block.

It is believed that she threw out everything from a wheelchair and a rice cooker to pots and pans — even the bamboo pole hanging outside the flat wasn’t spared.

But as bizarre as her actions were, it’s important to note that it’s tossing things out your window just isn’t cool. Someone could’ve easily been injured — or worse, killed.

In the online sphere, netizens were rather empathetic to her situation, whatever it may be, while others commented that no circumstances could justify her actions, which could’ve potentially caused harm to others.
