Cashin House may soon be the next big thing for outdoorsy folk

Fancy a new picnic spot?

The Cashin House, also known as ‘The Pier’ due to its location on a pier on the Lim Chu Kang coast, is likely to be the epicentre of a new development.

Under a 2013 draft master plan, the house may be restored and its surrounding area converted into a recreational spot for activities such as camping and picnics.

The pre-Japanese Occupation house offers a panoramic view of the Johor Strait and is visible from the Lim Chu Kang Jetty.

It also connects visitors to the western part of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, which offer activities like birdwatching.
