The body of a man was found on the pavement near an HDB block along Teck Whye Crescent today (Aug 16) following a commotion that was heard in the wee hours of the morning.

According to Yahoo News Singapore, the body was seen near Blk 165A in the area, and police officers were on site at 8:20am. A resident of the block noted to the publication that she had heard the “sound of people running down the staircase followed by more shouting” around 3am. The resident also said that fights and arguments were common occurrences at the block.

Police investigators were spotted gathering evidence at the fourth floor of the block as well.

The district of Teck Whye isn’t a stranger to violent crimes — last month saw a man arrested for brandishing two knives during a dispute at a coffee shop at Teck Whye Lane, while another man faces the death sentence for the murder of a medium at a Teck Whye Lane temple.
