A black BMW crashed into a store in Little India yesterday afternoon, hitting two pedestrians.

Surveillance footage circulating online showed the car going off the curb and onto the sidewalk along Rowell Road, slamming into two people, a pillar, and a rack that was displaying various retail items including bags. The incident took place just after 5pm, according to the timestamp of the footage.

The minute-long clip was taken from the surveillance camera that was monitoring the storefront. It began with a view of the retail staff sitting and fiddling with his phone when two men strolled by in front of the store and got hit by the car from behind. The pedestrian at the front was slammed head-on while the other one walking behind him was sideswiped.

Onlookers streamed into the scene soon after the impact before the footage ended with the BMW driver stepping out and walking to the back of his car and then going to the front.

Criticism directed towards the driver includes those calling him an “idiot” and a “time bomb driver.”
