Photos and videos of an accident just in front of the Parliament House that left five injured have been circulating online today.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told Coconuts today that they were alerted to a two-car collision involving a blue Honda and a black BMW at a traffic junction between North Bridge Road and Parliament Place yesterday at around 8:20am.

Two male drivers, aged 51 and 59, and three passengers aged between 28 and 61, were injured and sent to the Singapore General Hospital.

A photo circulating on WhatsApp showed more than a dozen people trying to lift the flipped blue Honda over while a police officer attended to a person lying on the ground. A tow truck and two ambulance vehicles with several emergency respondents were present at the scene. Both the front of the vehicles that collided were badly damaged.

Investigations are ongoing.
