14-year-old Singaporean teen crowned champion at indoor skydiving World Cup

Congrats are in order for Kyra Poh, the indoor skydiver who clinched the gold medal for Singapore on Saturday. Coming up tops in the junior freestyle category of the 2016 Federation Aeronautique Internationale World Cup of Indoor Skydiving in Warsaw, Poland, the 14-year-old scored a total of 63.3 points, beating Poles Andrzej Soltyk (61.2) and Aleksandra Soltyk (59.4).

Even with the initial setback of losing her shoe during the final round, Poh never stopped giving her best and completed the routine that included a move where she had to run on the net without the shoe. As a member of Team Firefly Singapore, the School of the Arts student usually trains at iFly Singapore in Sentosa with her teammate Choo Yi Xuan, with whom she placed fourth in the Dynamic 2-way category at the World Cup.
