A Star Wars movie exhibition saved the best for last by ending its world tour in Singapore later this month.

Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition opens Jan. 30 at the ArtScience Museum with displays of close to 200 artifacts from the original films along with sections taking a deep dive into the characters of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Princess Leia and Yoda.

“Star Wars Identities uses original artwork from the epic space saga to explore human identity in an innovative way,” museum director Honor Harger said. “As visitors embark on a voyage of discovery in the exhibition, we encourage them to ponder the motivation and forces that shape who we are as individuals.”

Star Wars fanatics can gawk at original props, artworks, costumes and starship models including the Millennium Falcon and an Imperial Star Destroyer. They can also view early concept drawings and storyboards from the original trilogy.

Gen-X purists can take heart in the absence of any Jar-Jar Binks or Kylo Ren – this is focused on the original trilogy of Episodes IV to VI released between 1977 and 1983. (Though no Baby Yoda will leave us feeling a disturbance in the force.)

The section focused on the characters will have an interactive feature for visitors to find their role in the space opera and embark on a quest to discover their identity.

The exhibition has been touring the world since 2012 in cities such as Montreal, Paris, and Vienna. Tickets – S$25 for adults or S$80 for a package of two adults and two children – go on sale Jan. 15.
