Asia International Comedy Fest 2017
This new comedy fest brings in comedians from across the globe, with names like Bert “The Machine” Kreischer (yes, the dude who robbed a train in Russia with the Russian Mafia), Mikey Bustos, Kanan Gill and Shahar Hason & Yohai Sponder on the line-up to make you LOL all night.

Bar Rouge Official Opening Party
Iconic Shanghai nightclub Bar Rouge makes its official debut in Singapore at the top of Swissôtel The Stamford — pop by for a first look of the new space.
10pm-late at Bar Rouge Singapore. Free entry from 10pm-10:30pm; 10:30pm onwards $25, includes one drink.
Sands for Singapore Charity Festival
The charity event, organized to raise public awareness and funds for a good cause, will host a myriad of events and activities over the weekend, such as a family carnival, a sundown picnic and lots of music performances.

The cash-only festival brings in fashion, crafts, food, designer goods and homeware from Thailand.

Saturday, Sept 9
Stroll through the exhibition for a glimpse into Japanese subcultures, including everything from anime and cosplay to professional wrestling and trading card games. Plus, go Super Saiyan and scream out loud like Goku from Dragon Ball Z with other weebs.
Until Sept 10; various timings at Hall 404-406, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. $6-$8.
Hop on a bike and explore Singapore’s first design, lifestyle and heritage cycling trail with 10 pitstops in the Bugis, Clarke Quay, Bras Basah, Orchard Road and Marina Bay area such as Kult Studio, Basheer Graphics and Funan Showsuite. You’ll also get free refreshments at refuelling stops like Soi 55 and Everything With Fries.
3pm-9pm, race will commence at Naiise @ orchardgateway. $15.
Head over to Mexican joint Piedra Negra for free shots (for the first 200 who register), hip hop beats, and an after-party at Blu Jaz that will go on till late.
7pm-late at Haji Lane. Free.
The music fest, back for its seventh edition, features more than 40 bands from 12 countries across five days. Artists performing include Childsaint, Sam Rui, Dizzy, Falling Feathers, Kiana Valenciano, Ravi Iyer, Soundwave and lots more.

Pop-Up Noise: The Great Singapore Replay
Tune in to music by 10 local acts, including the likes of Joie Tan, Jawn, .gif, Spacedays and Jasmine Sokko, as they perform alongside fringe activities like an exhibition of local album covers and activities such as Eraser Cup and Chapteh challenges.
4pm-10:30pm at Clarke Quay Central. Free.
Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention
Battling with Chara Expo for fans is STGCC, which returns for its 10th edition with the best of local and international toys, games, comics, anime and collectibles, as well as themed zones, cosplay guests and stage performances.
